Zero Model Railway Model Stepless Dimming Indoor Light Spring User Manual

Thank you for choosing Zero Model's stepless dimming indoor light spring product.

Product Overview

This product is designed specifically for N-track railway model carriages, providing stable, stepless dimming indoor lighting effects, and is suitable for various passenger car model carriages.

Product Specifications

  • Applicable track gauge: N rail (1:150 - 1:160)
  • Operating voltage: Max DC 16V (PWM regulation/supports continuous LED operation)
  • Dimming method: Stepless dimming, automatically adjusts brightness according to resistance changes.

Precautions:

  • Recommended for individuals aged 18 or older
  • A constantly lit lamp controller with overcurrent and short-circuit protection must be used.
  • Requires storage in a low-humidity environment to reduce the oxidation rate.
  • Recommended storage and operating temperature: 10-35 degrees Celsius
  • All color or color temperature numbers are for model designation only and do not represent actual data.

Tools needed

  • One pair of 1mm cutting pliers

Installation steps

1. Check if the LED strips are working properly and can light up. Each LED strip comes with two springs.

2. Open the interior space of the vehicle. For details, please refer to the vehicle's instruction manual.

3. Insert the spring into the plug.

4. Install it in the carriage as a test position and note the location where it needs to be cut.

5. Use tools to cut the light strips.

6. Install it on the return box and place it back on the track for testing.

7. After installing the car body, place it back on the track for testing.

8. Completed

Instructions for use

  • Place the carriage with the interior lights installed on the track.
  • The light will turn on automatically after power is supplied.
  • Adjusting the adjustable resistor changes the brightness of the light (clockwise rotation increases brightness).
  • The PWM signal will light up when it reaches a certain percentage, but it may exceed the motor start-up percentage, causing it to remain lit even when the car is stopped.

Precautions

  • ⚠️ Do not exceed the maximum operating voltage of DC 16V to avoid damaging the LED.
  • ⚠️ Avoid direct contact between the PCB and metal to prevent short circuits.
  • ⚠️ Please ensure there is enough space inside the vehicle before installation.
  • It is recommended to cover the welding points with insulating tape.

troubleshooting

question Possible reasons Solution
The light is not working. Power not connected Check power connection
Insufficient brightness Dimming too low Rotate the adjustable resistor clockwise using a flathead screwdriver.
blinking Poor current collection Clean the wheels and tracks, and check the copper sheet contact.
fever Short circuit Stop using it immediately and check the power connection.

Maintenance

  • Clean the wheels and current collector regularly to ensure good contact.
  • When not in use for an extended period, it is recommended to store the vehicle in a dry environment.
  • Avoid violent vibrations and collisions.
